The European Conference of Nanofilms (ECNF2016)

Bilbao, 19th-21st October 2016

Bizkaia Aretoa, UPV/EHU, Bilbao, Spain.

Registration: www.ecnf2016.org

Objectives and profile of the conference

The European Conference on Nanofilms is a scientific forum to present new developments in the field of thin films and coatings research. This event aims to promote discussions among researchers coming from academia as well as from industrial companies. Topics cover a wide range of scientific levels: from basic research (modeling, 2D materials…) to very applied coatings (energy, tribology, optoelectronics…). ECNF is focused in thin films grown by different deposition techniques: PVD (cathodic arc, sputtering, HiPIMS), MBE, ALD, CVD, etc.

The main topics covered by the Conference are:

  • PROTECTIVE AND TRIBOLOGICAL COATINGS.
  • THIN FILMS FOR ENERGY CONVERSION, CATALYSIS AND RELATED PROCESSES.
  • FROM MOLECULES AND NANOPARTICLES TO NANOSTRUCTURED THIN FILMS.
  • PROPERTIES AND CHARACTERIZATION TECHNIQUES OF NANOFILMS.
  • NOVEL 2D MATERIALS: SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND APPLICATIONS.

KEY DATES

  • Deadline for abstracts submission: 15th July 2016.
  • Deadline for the reception of the extended abstracts: 15th September 2016.
  • Deadline for reduced fee: 31st July 2016.

The MATCH project (http://www.match-a4m.eu/) is coordinated by Italian Centro Sviluppo Materiali and the whole consortium consists of 18 partners from nine countries representing the six related European Technology Platforms and several major European material research organisations. The project started in January 2015 and will continue for 30 months until June 2017. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement No 646031.
